Many private schools mount elaborate stage productions, but the Auckland-based Corelli Academic School of the Arts specialises in performance. Pupils present drama, musicals, dance and concerts in a well-equipped theatre. The academic curriculum prepares students at Corelli, like those at a number of other private schools, to sit University of Cambridge examinations.
