‘Brain injured’, ‘nails torn off’ and ‘face injured’ were some of the non-fatal injuries to industrial workers during three months of 1910 listed in the Appendix to the Journals of the House of Representatives. Two of these 19 injured workers were aged just 15, and 12 were under 30.
