Passenger numbers, 1937–1949 (2 o 2)

In the 1930s passenger numbers on scheduled flights grew rapidly as people realised the advantages of flying. Commercial aviation suffered a setback in 1940–43, during the Second World War. After the war, however, there was a boom.
