The 2006/07 New Zealand Health Survey, conducted by the Ministry of Health, examined New Zealanders' use of complementary and alternative health practitioners within the previous 12 months. This graph shows the percentage of adults surveyed who used these practitioners. Of the alternatives, massage therapists were by far the most popular. Visits to alternative practitioners were a small proportion of all visits to health practitioners.

This is the most up-to-date data available, as the annual survey has not measured alternative health practitioner use since 2006/07.
