The Beatles tour, 1964

The Beatles tour, 1964

In 1964 the Beatles toured New Zealand. They had to contend with thousands of unruly, screaming fans, disorganised security and poor sound but for many New Zealand teenagers it was the event of a lifetime. The fact they couldn't hear the music for the screaming didn't stop fans enjoying themselves. The tour inspired many New Zealanders to form bands. This poster advertises the arrival of the 'Fab Four'.
