All Black George Nēpia's talents extended beyond the rugby field - he was also a musician and singer. His rendition of his cousin Walter Smith's song 'Beneath the Māori moon', recorded by British label Decca in 1936, was one of his major hits. Nēpia is pictured in the insert second from left in the back row.
