This handsome cover of Robert Wilkin and Company's New Zealand Farmers Almanac1885 was printed by Whitcombe and Tombs. The firm had been established in 1882 and, although from the beginning of the partnership it published many educational books, Whitcombe and Tombs also published the useful books that were common at this period. Robert Wilkin and Company were grain and seed merchants in Canterbury and also dealt in skins and wool.
