Reclaim the night poster

Reclaim the night poster

In the 1970s and 1980s feminists organised 'reclaim the night' marches. Groups of women walked down city streets demanding they be made safer for women. This poster advertises a 1979 march in Wellington but they also happened in other cities. They were organised by those working for Rape Crisis and by university feminist groups.
