Kōrero: Pregnancy, birth and baby care

After the Second World War birth rates increased. More women married and at younger ages. This led to a baby boom for Pākehā mothers which lasted until the early 1970s. This booklet (produced by the National Party for the 1949 election campaign) shows a family at the beginning of the baby boom. These parents have made a good start and their relative youth suggests that there is plenty of time for child number four.
