After the 1951 waterfront dispute, a card was produced and issued to unionists who ‘stood loyal right through’ (supported the dispute for its entire 151 days). This one, issued to Napier wharfie H. F. Hewett, is signed by the watersiders’ union’s national president Jock Barnes and national secretary Toby Hill, and by Napier branch secretary J. Black.
