Desex and the city

Desex and the city

In 2006 the Auckland Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) ran a campaign called ‘Desex and the city’, encouraging pet owners to have their animals neutered. Unwanted litters of kittens or puppies are often dumped at SPCA shelters or, even worse, in the wild, where they can breed and become pests.
