The British Colonial office established the Empire Marketing Board in 1926 to encourage trade between Great Britain and the rest of the British Empire. This poster, from around 1927, emphasises New Zealand’s role as a sheep-rearing country. New Zealand had been the major supplier of mutton and lamb to Britain since the 1880s.
