In 2006 the Govett-Brewster Art Gallery in New Plymouth staged an exhibition, Darcy Lange: Study of an Artist at Work. The accompanying publication documented and discussed Lange's pioneering video art from the 1970s and 1980s. The cover shows Lange at work at that time.
