Curnow contributed early writings to the radical fortnightly magazine Tomorrow from its beginnings in 1934. Along with friends, such as A. R. D. Fairburn, Curnow was one of the major contributors during the publication’s early days, publishing poetry and satires under the pseudonym ‘Julian’.
