The New Zealand Illustrated Magazine, 1900

The emerging nationalism at the start of the 20th century gave birth to a number of short-lived journals such as The New Zealand Illustrated Magazine. As the cover suggests, the magazine tended to identify New Zealand with its native flora and Māori culture.
