Once back in government, Labour continued to reduce tariffs, despite its record of support for New Zealand manufacturing. In this 2008 cartoon, footwear workers are about to be crushed by the boot of imports, while a grinning Prime Minister Helen Clark rolls out a welcome mat for imported goods.
