Kōrero: Workforce composition

‘Work ‘til you drop’

‘Work ‘til you drop’

There is no longer a legal retirement age in New Zealand, and many people now remain in the workforce long past the traditional retirement age of 65. Some feel the government expects people to keep working for as long as possible. This cartoon expresses resentment that people may no longer be encouraged to enjoy a long retirement.
