Liquor licence cartoon

By 1965 when this cartoon was penned liquor laws were becoming more relaxed. Licensed restaurants started to open and people could consume alcohol with their meals in places other than hotels. This cartoon by Nevile Lodge suggests the Licensing Control Commission should be giving licences to popular eateries like this pie cart rather than luxury establishments patronised by a privileged few.
