Ravensdown Fertiliser Co-operative was formed after a series of takeovers during 1977–78. This involved the amalgamation of five fertiliser works, formerly owned by Kempthorne, Prosser & Company and the Dominion Fertiliser Company. The cartoon depicts the aftermath of the battle.
