Kōrero: Hawke’s Bay places

Havelock North

Havelock North

The centre of Havelock North has a distinctive layout. Six streets radiate out from a central traffic island like the spokes of a wheel. Sarah Platt’s 2008 print also includes a number of notable buildings, such as the James Chapman-Taylor building that is now the town’s information centre (right of the island), Woodford House and Iona College (top right) and the historic Duart House (top left).
