
From the 1960s Fletcher topdressing aircraft were manufactured by subsidiaries of James Aviation, founded by Ossie James at Rukuhia near Hamilton after the Second World War. Aerial topdressing of fertiliser on pastures helped transform New Zealand farming. This postage stamp commemorates that achievement.
