Original settlers, Norsewood Golden Jubilee

Photographed in 1922, these pioneers of Norsewood, founded in 1872, have surnames such as Petersen, Christiansen and Lund. Their lined faces tell of half a century of toil, turning bush to farm. When these old-timers died, the Scandinavian languages went with them.
