‘Farming family’

In recent decades public art has been promoted in Hamilton, and there are several sculptures on or near Victoria St. ‘Farming family’, donated by prominent businessman Sir Robert Jones in 1990, stands at the north end of Victoria St. Intended to celebrate the role of the ordinary farming family in history, the sculpture was criticised for showing only the European history of Waikato.
