Waihī camp (2nd of 2)

Waihī camp

This is one of the camp sites occupied by J. M. Bell and his party at Orakawa Beach near Waihī about 1911. In 1909 Bell had married Vera Beauchamp (a sister of writer Katherine Mansfield), who enjoyed accompanying him in the field. She is standing by the tent on the left.
