Sketch of Ōmarunui pā, 1860s (2nd of 2)

This sketch shows the site of the battle of Ōmarunui (on the Tūtaekurī River, near present-day Taradale) after it had been won by government forces. It shows natural landscape details, the location of European farms, the positions of government and opposing Māori forces during the battle, and the spot where retreating Māori were captured after the was abandoned.
