Fernleaf butter advertisement

Television advertising sometimes reflected changes in society. Initially, most featured stable families and cheery housewives. This commercial from 1989 featured a recently separated father, who had just moved into his new abode with his daughter Sam. The first of a long-running series, it recognised that during the 1970s and 1980s society had changed, and there were many broken families and solo parents.
