Story: Economy and the environment

Marketing Icebreaker

Icebreaker is a New Zealand clothing firm that concentrates on textile innovation, developing fine merino wool for its knitwear. The firm uses wool from New Zealand, makes its designs in North America, manufactures in China, and sells to niche markets in New Zealand and overseas. The company markets itself by emphasising its relationship with New Zealand’s land and people, the sustainability of its process and the traceability of the wool from farm to individual garment.
