Ngāti Kuia treaty settlement

Ngāti Kuia treaty settlement

Ngāti Kuia, whose main area is Pelorus Sound and the Pelorus valley, signed a Treaty of Waitangi settlement with the Crown in October 2010. A valued patu (club) was part of the ceremony, which was attended by Ngāti Kuia elders and Attorney-General Chris Finlayson.
