Non-medical hospital managers

From the 1980s hospitals were managed by non-medical people with business backgrounds. Before then senior doctors took on managerial roles. Waikato District Health Board chief executive officer Craig Climo, shown here talking to a member of the medical staff at Taumarunui Hospital, has a masters degree in business administration.
