Health and disability consumer rights

The Health and Disability Commissioner was established in 1994 to promote and protect the rights of consumers of health and disability services. The Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights, which became law in 1996, is summarised in this poster published by the commissioner. The poster is a common sight on the walls of doctors' surgeries, health centres and public hospitals. You can download the poster as a PDF to view it in more detail.
