Ōreti River

Ōreti River

One of Southland’s principal rivers, and the only one that is braided in parts, the Ōreti has its headwaters in the Eyre and Thomson mountains and reaches the sea through the New River estuary at Invercargill. This picture is taken looking north, upstream from Dipton.
