Prudential Assurance head office

Prudential Assurance was founded in the UK in the 19th century and set up branches in many countries, including New Zealand. Its magnificent art deco head office, shown here in about 1934, still stands in Lambton Quay, Wellington. In the 2000s the company was part of Sovereign, New Zealand’s largest life insurer.
