Waitara was a beautiful place to grow up in. I had a good upbringing in that town. I remember the times when i wagged school to go fishing when the blood shoot was flowing and I would sell my fish outside the hotel for picture money or fish and chips. Teachers and my parents never knew about this I always had an excuse for not going to school. However I am still clever. My family were sporty family, and we were good swimmers. School was excellent, we by-passed the racism and got on with our learning. Too much. Waitara forever. I still miss my home town. Keep the town alive everyone. it has a lot of good stories to tell.
