Tamahau Mahupuku and the Hikurangi Brass Band

Tamahau Mahupuku was the host of the Māori parliament at Papawai pā, near Greytown in Wairarapa. He supported the brass band, which played to the thousands who visited the pā, and was renowned as a generous host.
