Tamahau Mahupuku and the Hikurangi Brass Band

Tamahau Mahupuku was the host of the Māori parliament at Pāpāwai pā, near Greytown in the Wairarapa. He supported the brass band, which played to thousands who visited the pā, and was renowned as a generous host.
