Cambrian Society, 1937

Cambrian Society, 1937

The women of the Canterbury Cambrian Society sport traditional Welsh costumes at a parade celebrating the coronation of King George VI in 1937. Their float was also decorated with the colours and symbols of Wales. Traditional Welsh names such as Dilys, Bronwen, Jones and Cuddy were well represented among the society members shown here.

Kia ora I have recently purchased a small badge with The Cambrian Society on it. It has a red dragon on a white and green circular badge. I have note your post on this, do you know anything about this badge? Thanks
