The Maori Messenger – Te Karere Maori

The image on the masthead of The Maori Messenger – Te Karere Maori is the royal coat of arms. The coat of arms was commonly used as the masthead for 19th-century government newspapers in Māori, and was also used on the New Zealand Gazette.
