
The Maori Messenger – Te Karere Maori was a bilingual newspaper in both Māori and English. This page, from July 1860, discusses the Kohimarama conference organised by Governor Thomas Gore Browne. The entire proceedings were published in Māori and English, and numerous letters relating to the conference were received from tribal leaders around the country.
