Souvenir programme for The mikado

Amateur operatic societies were established in New Zealand from the 1870s, and Gilbert and Sullivan comic operas were a mainstay of their repertoire from the start. This colourful souvenir programme was produced for a Wellington Amateur Operatic Society season of The mikado in 1888.
