William Stratford Percy, comic actor with the second Pollard Opera Company, is portrayed with some of the characters he played in this photographic montage from 1900. Successive Pollard juvenile opera companies toured New Zealand from the 1880s until 1910, performing English, French and German comic operas. They were very popular with audiences.
