Address to Julius Vogel

This ‘illuminated address’ to London-born Premier Julius Vogel (premier 1873–75, 1876) was presented in 1876 on behalf of the ‘Working men and citizens of Wellington’. Vogel was Jewish, and his active career in Parliament reflected New Zealand’s relative freedom from religious prejudice.
