Big-wave surfing

Although the best big-wave surfing is in Hawaii, New Zealand also has some huge surf, notably at Papatowai in South Otago. The thrills offered by monster waves are strictly for experienced and daring surfers. Champion Daniel Kereopa and Doug Young take on the challenge.
