Low-budget film Angel mine, one of the first to be funded by the Film Commission, was simultaneously odd and suburban. Morals campaigner Patricia Bartlett and her group, the Society for Promotion of Community Standards, were outraged that government funding had helped director David Blyth make the film, and the film censor gave it an R18 rating.
