Parachute music festival

The Parachute festival of Christian music, held annually at Mystery Creek events centre in Hamilton until 2014, grew to become one of the largest music festivals in the southern hemisphere. The first festival, held in Waikanae in 1991, attracted 1,200 fans. The 2010 event attracted 25,000.
