Story: Poetry

Charles Brasch

This undated photograph of Otago poet and Landfall editor Charles Brasch captures the sense of a lonely figure in the New Zealand landscape that is often evoked by his poetry.  The sound file is a poem from his third book of poetry, The estate, which was published in 1957.
