Bay of Islands Swordfish Club, Russell

The Bay of Islands Swordfish Club is the oldest game-fishing club in New Zealand, with clubhouses in Paihia and Russell. Over 150 gamefish world records have been set by members, who include juniors and overseas visitors. In 2006, members released more than 60% of their total catch.
