Champion surfers

Maz Quinn is possibly the best-known New Zealand surfer. In 2001 he was one of a small group chosen for the World Championship Tour, an international professional competition. He is shown here in action at the 2006 Hyundai National Surfing Championships, at Ninety Mile Beach in Northland.
