The Guardians of Fiordland Fisheries and Marine Environment share a common vision for the sustainable management of Fiordland. The Guardians’ proposals for protecting Fiordland’s natural features were adopted by the New Zealand government in April 2005, when it created the Fiordland Marine Area.
