Big Glory Bay salmon farm

Big Glory Bay salmon farm

The first sea-cage salmon farm was established here in Big Glory Bay, Stewart Island, in 1983. Salmon are raised in large cages suspended in the sea. The cages are connected by a series of floating walkways, allowing easy access for maintenance.
