Bluebridge ferry Strait Feronia coming into Wellington harbour

Bluebridge ferry Strait Feronia coming into Wellington harbour

The Cook Strait ferry operators rang the changes in 2015. Interislander replaced the elderly Arahura with the chartered Kaiarahi, and Strait Shipping bought the 21,856-ton Strait Feronia. Rail ferries once ruled the Strait, but now only the Aratere carries Kiwi Rail’s wagons.
